Telematics system for monitoring and management of employee transport bus lines in Foxconn Slovakia was interesting for Industry Revue magazine.

Employees of the Nitra factory of the television manufacturer Foxconn Slovakia are transported by 10 to 14 lines, depending on the season. The company found that getting information about the utilization of lines and their use by employees needed a change. The assignment for the new system asked online information about which employees go on which bus at which bus stop.

The company now has real-time data about people going to work and can estimate when they will start if they are delayed. Each line has its own records and the company can evaluate how people use it, and the system automatically calculates their part of the travel reimbursement.

The technical solution enables the use of GPS positioning to locate line stops to meet the needs of passengers as much as possible. Company can manage changes in bus stops zones online.
